Road accident killed 3 persons

Two persons including a woman were killed and 25 passengers injured when an APSRTC bus hit a lorry from backside on National Highway 65 near Muthyalammagudem stage in Kattangumandal of Nalgonda district.

The road accident took place at 2 am when an APSRTC bus of Governorpet depot and on its way to Hyderabad from Vijayawada with 40 passengers, rammed into a cement leaded lorry from back side. Two persons including conductor of the bus and a woman passenger died in the accident.

In the road accident, the bus conductor got stuck between the vehicles and died on the spot. The bus started from Vijayawada at 11 am.Getting the information, Kattangur police rushed to the spot and shifted the injured to Kamineni Institute of Medical Sciences at Narketpally for treatment.

According to the passengers, the bus driver was trying to overtake the lorry when accident took place.
