KCR appealed to TRS leaders and workers not to celebrate the birthday in any form

Hyderabad: Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao on Friday asked party activists not to celebrate his birthday on February 17 as a mark of respect to the CRPF jawans martyred in Thursday’s terror attack in Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir.


In a press communiqué from the Chief Minister’s Office, Mr Rao condemned the terror attack and said he was “extremely moved by the grave loss of lives” and the injuries sustained by many CRPF personnel in the ghastly incident.


 The Chief Minister conveyed his condolences to the family members of the martyrs and wished that the injured personnel recover from their injuries.


Mr Rao stated that the entire nation was in a state of mourning and in this hour of grief he desired to cancel all celebrations on account of his birthday on February 17. He appealed to TRS leaders and workers not to celebrate the birthday in any form.
