The stage is set for conduct of Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education (TSBIE) examination scheduled to begin from Wednesday. Addressing media here on Monday, secretary Dr A Ashok said the Intermediate Public (Theory) Examinations (IPE) will be held from 8.45 am to 12 noon at 1,277 examination centres across the state.
A total of 9,42,719 students have registered to appear in the examinations, out of which 4,52,550 have been registered for the first year and 4,90,169 for the second year examinations.
Ashok said the number of girls registered are 2,09,970 against 1,99,120 boys registered for the first year examination. In case of the second year, regular candidates 1,84,423 boys and 1,98,573 girls registered. In the second year, 43,340 boys and 25,035 girls have registered in the private category to write their exams, he added.
Dr Ashok said that all necessary steps have been taken for the smooth conduct of the examinations. The college principals and board officials at the district level were asked to respond immediately in resolving any issues from the students.
He said the students should reach examination hall an hour before the exam and fill the bio-data on the OMR sheet between 8.45 am to 9 am. Candidates will not be allowed entry if they report after 9 am. The students have also been advised to verify correctness of OMR barcoded sheet for the name, subject etc. Pinning of the wrong bar-coded sheet will lead to the wrong declaration of results, he added.
