Vemulawada Rajeshwara temple decorated MahaSivaratri

Vemulawada: Elaborate arrangements has been made for the three day- Mahasivarati  jatra that will begin from March 3 at Vemulawada Raja Rajeshwara Swamy temple. District collector Venkatram Reddy is personally monitoring the arrangements. On the eve of the occasion the temple was lit up with colorful lights. Special buses will ply to the temple from various places. Free RTC buses will run in Vemulawada town. RTC buses have been decorated as rathams to attract devotees.


Officials have put up hoardings at all crossroads in the town. Medical kiosks have been set up run by the health department. Free drinking water and ‘Majjiga’ will be distributed to devotees standing in queues.


As many as 1,200 police have been deployed and 270 CCTV cameras have been put up around the temple. Temple executive officer, Doosa Rajeshwar, said that five lakh Rajanna laddus have been prepared for the devotees and Puli Hora for three lakh devotees. The new  bridge constructed on the Moola Vagu has been opened.
