Hyderabad: About 10 parents approached AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi on Monday morning complaining about the fee hike in Kendriya Vidyalaya at Kanchanbaugh from Rs 2,745 to Rs 6,000 per quarter, per child, making it Rs 24,000 per annum.

Mr. Owaisi wrote a letter to Union minister Prakash Javedkar stating that quality education is not affordable to working parents and first-generation students.

The parents, who are mostly into small businesses, in their meeting with Mr. Owaisi said that the hike has been announced recently and it will not be possible for them to continue their students in the school with the sudden hike.
