KCR to kick start poll campaign from Mar 17

Hyderabad: TRS leaders including Ministers, MLAs and MLCs inspected arrangements for CM K Chandrashekhar Rao’s meeting scheduled to be held at the sports school ground in Karimnagar on March 17. The Chief Minister, in keeping with tradition, decided to launch the campaign from Karimnagar. Over 2.5 lakh people from the seven Assembly segments — Karimnagar, Manakondur, Huzurabad, Husnabad, Choppadandi, Vemulawada, and Sircilla — of Karimangar Lok Sabha segment were expected to attend the meeting to be held at 5.30 pm.


Ministers Etela Rajender (Health) and Koppula Eashwar (Welfare), MP B Vinod Kumar, local MLA Gangula Kamalakar, MLC Naradasu Laxman Rao, Mayor S Ravinder Singh and others visited the venue from where Rao will kickstart electioneering for the April 11 Lok Sabha elections in the State. Commissioner of Police V B Kamalasan Reddy briefed the leaders about parking arrangements and traffic regulations on the day of meeting.


Eashwar, in-charge of the meeting, was making arrangements to mobilise people from every village. About 30,000 to 40,000 people were expected from each constituency. Kamalakar and Singh were looking after arrangements at meeting venue.


Rajender said besides local legislators, MLAs from others districts would also be involved in the arrangements. He appealed to all party workers to visit each and every house and invite people for the meeting. He wanted the cadre to mobilise at least one person from every house. Asking the people to come to the venue well in advance, he said all arrangements including drinking water, carpets and others have been made.
