Telangana CM KCR on Wednesday alleged that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been an utter failure in fulfilling the people’s aspirations. While addressing a public meeting in Zaheerabad Lok Sabha constituency, he reiterated that his party, the Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) is neither an ally of the Congress nor of the BJP; it is the ally of the people.
Refuting the allegation of Narendra Modi that the TRS is an ally of the Congress, and Congress president Rahul Gandhi’s allegation that it is an ally of the BJP, Mr Rao said: “We don’t have any alliance with either party. We are agents of Telangana and Telangana people are our bosses and their aspirations are our agenda.”
He appealed to the people of the state not to get confused with the fight between Mr Modi and Mr Gandhi as they are trying to divert the minds of the people from their failures.
Explaining the failures of the BJP and the Congress in their 73 years of rule of the country, he said that both parties have failed to provide basic amenities like education, power, water and housing.
Mr Rao said that from Kashmir to Kanyakumari, Dalits, Muslims, Christians, and Adivasis say they have been neglected by both parties whenever they have been in power.
Stressing the need for qualitative change in the politics of the nation, he said that people are dissatisfied with the rule of both the parties and are looking for an alternative. The election results will show the emergence of regional parties as a strong force at the national level in deciding the future rulers of this country. If the TRS wins 16 seats in the state it will certainly play a crucial role in forming the Federal Front government at the Centre.
Ridiculing the criticism of the BJP and the Congress that even if the TRS wins 16 seats he will not be able to do anything, he said that with just two MPs he had achieved the separate state of Telangana, and if the TRS wins 16 seats, he will do wonders at the Centre.
He said that the BJP and Congress fear just that that he will come to Delhi and play a key role in national politics, and they are also afraid that the people of this country will throw them out in the elections.
