Hyderabad: The Election Commission has issued a notice of chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao for his anti-Hindu remarks in Karimnagar public meeting. In the notice, the EC asked the chief minister to furnish his reply by April 12 evening. It also stated that a decision without any further reference to KCR will be taken if the latter fails to furnish the reply.
It said that his statements have the potential to disturb harmony and aggravate existing differences between social and religious communities which also a violation of model code of conduct. The notice was issued based on the complaint filed by VHP state president M Rama Raju where he stated that KCR had passed derogatory comments against Hindus while addressing a public meeting in Karimnagar on March 17.
