KCR announced first ZP chairperson candidate

Telangana CM KCR declared candidature of former Asifabad MLA Kova Laxmi for the post of Zilla Parishad chairperson of Kumram Bheem Asifabad district. He made this announcement in Hyderabad on Monday.Laxmi, the daughter of former minister Kotnaka Bheem Rao, was elected as legislator of Asifabad in 2014 general elections. She had contested on the ticket of TRS. However, she was defeated by the nominee of the Congress, Athram Sakku, in 2018 elections. She has been striving hard for growth the party in her Assembly constituency.It may recalled that the post of the district’s ZP chairperson was reserved for ST woman.
