Former minister and MLA T. Harish Rao, the nephew of Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao, is back in action. In the ensuing ZPTC and MPTC elections, Harish Rao has been appointed incharge of Siddipet and Medak districts. In the recent Lok Sabha elections, he was not given the responsibility of any constituency as incharge. His name was not included in the list of TRS star campaigners but was added later on.

After the Assembly elections in December last year, the TRS leadership kept Harish Rao away from party activities. During the Lok Sabha election campaign, it appointed many leaders as constituency incharges but not Mr Harish Rao. In his own interest, and as a well-wisher of Medak Lok Sabha TRS candidate K. Prabhakar Reddy, Mr Harish Rao campaigned vigorously in the constituency and pledged one lakh vote majority. On polling day when, Chandrasekhar Rao went to Chinthamadaka to vote, Harish Rao made all the arrangements.

This occasion gave them a chance to meet each other after a long period. With negative feedback from the party cadre over the Harish Rao issue, the TRS leadership apparently changed its mind towards him.

Appointing Mr Harish Rao as in-charge of the two districts in the ZPTC and MPTC elections is an indication of this, said a TRS leader. It is significant to note that TRS MLC Farooq Hussain recently said in a meeting that Mr Harish Rao will be given an important post after the Lok Sabha elections.
