3 Children die of food poisoning at a marriage function

Adilabad: Three children died and 24 others fell sick of food poisoning in Adilabad after dining at a reception here on Wednesday. Getting into details, a wedding was held at Kothapalli of Nagnur mandal in Adilabad on Monday and reception was organised on Tuesday. Meanwhile, the leftover was handed over to the wedding party who offered it to the kids. After having the food on Wednesday, the children fell sick and were shifted to a hospital.
One of the victims was admitted to Nagnur primary healthcare centre where she was declared brought dead and another died while undergoing treatment at Utnoor government hospital. As there was no staff available at Nagnur PHC, the children were shifted to Utnoor hospital and then to RIMS in Adilabad.
