Kodandaram Quits As TJAC Chairman

Telangana Jana Samithi party president  M Kodandaram who was holding the chairman post of Telangana Joint Action Commitee (TJAC) from last nine years,had quit the chairman post. He played most important role as JAC leader in the Telangana movement from 2009.Kodandaram took the decision to relinquish the post after he announced his foray into active politics by floating a new political party - Telangana Jana Samithi. 


Kodandaram has been receiving strong criticism from different quarters ever since he launched his own political outfit. He played a key role as JAC chairman in uniting all political parties and brought them on a single platform during the intensified Telangana movement. 


Kodandaram announced quitting the JAC post after paying tributes to the Telangana martyrs at the Martyrs Bhavan in Hyderabad. He said that new JAC Chairman will be elected by the Steering Committee soon. Till then, the JAC Convenor Raghu will oversee the functioning of the joint action committee. Kodandaram became a popular leader in Telangana after assuming JAC chairman post.
