Telangana government redrafted 70 years of history

Finance and Civil Supplies Minister Etela Rajender on Saturday said though it was only four years old, the Telangana government redrafted 70 years of history by introducing innovative schemes to protect the interests of all sections of the society.

Now, only mechanics repairing electric motor pumpsets and sellers along with Congress leaders are unhappy. Burning of agriculture pumpsets due to power fluctuation is now a thing of the past and there was also no demand for generators since the government was providing 24 hours uninterrupted power to the agriculture sector.

Congress leaders were unhappy as they were unable to digest the good works being done by the government, the Minister said at the Rythu Bandhu programme in Yelkalapalli of Ramagundam mandal.Stating that welfare of farmers was the main aim of the State government, he said each year the government will spend Rs 50,000 crore on agriculture sector and farmers.

The Centre, which refused to give Rs 17,000 crore to waive farm loans, paid Rs 2,000 crore to banks on behalf of defaulters Nirav Modi and Vijay Mallya who duped banks of Rs 7.30 lakh crore. But, the Centre did not have money to help farmers, Rajender said.
