University of HYD permitted to stay in the hostels

Post-graduate students at the University of Hyderabad who are preparing for competitive exams or attending official internships will be permitted to stay in the hostels during the summer vacations, so that they can use the library and internet facilities. About 450 students who had applied have been provided hostel accommodation.

The students will stay in a handful of hostels in order to rationalise use of electricity and water, and management of messes.The university will charge a subsidised fee of Rs 500 per month for general category students, those from the OBC category Rs 375 per month. Students from the SC/ST communities are exempted from the payment. Research scholars can continue to stay in the hostels.
