Deputy Chief Minister Mohammed Mahmood Ali said 7000 people have been invited for the Iftar party to be hosted by Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on June 8 at Lal Bahadur Stadium. Like the previous year, the government will also arrange Iftar and dinner at 800 masajid of Telangana. Ramadan gift packs will also be distributed at the masajid.
Deputy Chief Minister Mohammed Mahmood Ali along with other high officials took stock of the arrangements at Lal Bahadur Stadium. Speaking to media on the occasion, Mr Mahmood Ali said that Telangana government has allocated a budget of 2000 Cr rupees for Minority Welfare which is the highest in any state.
After inspecting the venue, Mahmood Ali held review meeting which was attended by Devendra Singh Chauhan(Additional CP Law and Order), Hyderabad collector Yogita Rana, secretary Minority Welfare M Dana Kishore, advisor to the government for minority affairs A K Khan, Director Minority Welfare Shahnawaz Qasim, Waqf Board Chairman Mohammed Saleem, Managing Director Minority Finance Corporation M A Waheed, Secretary/Director Urdu Academy Prof S A Shukoor and others.
