The TRS on Wednesday hit back at Congress leader Nagam Janardhan Reddy for his remarks against Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao and ministers K.T. Rama Rao and T. Harish Rao.

The party warned that if Mr Reddy continued to level baseless allegations against the Chief Minister and his family members, he would meet the same fate he had met on Osmania University campus during Telangana agitation when he was  chased and thrashed by students for allying with anti-Telangana party TD.

TRS MLCs Bhanu Prasad and Karne Prabhakar on Wednesday condemned Mr Nagam’s allegations that irrigation projects and Mission Bhagiratha were being taken up by the TRS government to loot the state exchequer by awarding works to contractors and collecting commissions. “Mr Reddy is confused which party he currently represents. He once termed his own party as corrupt.”

Mr Bhanu Prasad said, “Nagam is famous for corruption in the TD government. Their own party leaders named him as ‘Biyyam Reddy’ for siphoning off rice meant for poor. Now he may be named as ‘Abaddala Reddy’ for speaking lies against KCR and his family member.”
