Kiran Kumar Reddy has rejoined the Congress in New Delhi

 Former chief minister of united Andhra Pradesh N. Kiran Kumar Reddy on Friday rejoined the Congress in New Delhi. The AP Congress had recently urged former Congressmen to return to the party and Mr Reddy is the first leader to accept the invite.  Along with several other leaders, Mr Reddy met AICC president Rahul Gandhi who welcomed him back to the party.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr Reddy said that the Congress had given recognition to his family for decades and he became the chief minister of the united Andhra Pradesh  as a Congressman.  The former CM also claimed that his family has good relations with the Gandhi family. Mr Reddy also said that he was happy to return to the Congress and stressed on the need for Rahul Gandhi becoming the Prime Mini-ster for the development of both the Telugu states.
