The intimacy maintained by Telangana Congress leader A Revanth Reddy with TDP Chief N Chandrababu Naidu has come as a big use for Congress. Revanth has been asked to explore the possibility of pre-poll alliance between TDP and Congress in Telangana in next elections.
Considering Revanth maintaining strong rapport with the existing TDP leadership in Telangana, party high command asked the former TDP leader to study the winning prospects of Congress and TDP combine in the Assembly constituencies.
Revanth concentrated mainly the Assembly segments where Seemandhra voters considerably good mainly in Greater Hyderabad, Khammam and part of Nizamabad districts. Leaders said Revanth is interacting with TDP leaders in identified constituencies and ascertaining whether the TDP and Congress joint fight defeat ruling TRS in next elections. The leader was also directed to discuss the proposal to form grand alliance with Congress, TDP and others by consulting Chandrababu who pulled TDP out of NDA recently.
