Booking of bus tickets now available in T-Wallet app

Passengers heading to different parts of the country by buses can now reserve their tickets a month in advance using State government’s T-Wallet app.For providing this facility of advance booking to passengers, the government has integrated T-Wallet services with Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC). 

Launching the new facility here on Thursday, Transport Minister P Mahendar Reddy said that TSRTC has come up with the idea to provide hassle-free ticket bookings for the passengers.He said that a total of 13,000 seats are available online and 6,000 passengers have been utilising this facility every day which generated Rs 62 lakhs daily for the RTC.

However, with the integration of RTC services with T-Wallet, passengers can now reserve bus tickets 30 days in advance who receive information on ticket confirmation by SMS.“We will add another 100 buses in addition to 700 services to neighbouring states such as Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Goa and Chhattisgarh”, he said.

TSRTC will soon start inter-state services between Warangal and Pune, Reddy said adding that the App facility will be useful for Vajra buses on the routes of Warangal and Nizamabad.
