Jayaram murder case: Police arrested another three persons

The West Zone Police arrested three more persons for the murder of NRI businessman Jayaram Chigurupati, even as it emerged that prime accused Rakesh Reddy had framed at least 12 persons by making visit the victim’s home even when the body was there. DCP, West Zone, A.R. Srinivas said the Banjara Hills police arrested rowdysheeter Nenavath Nagesh, 35, his nephew Vislawath Vishal, 20, and Lakshmi Reddy Subash Chandra Reddy, 26, a BTech dropout.


He said when Rakesh Reddy was extorting Jayaram, Nagesh recorded the episode and also took signatures of Jayaram on blank stamp papers. Mr Srinivas said that after murdering Jayaram, called one Vishwa Reddy in Sircilla, who had sold him land, to come to Jayaram’s house to sign the papers. Once there, he was trapped. The commissioner expressed displeasure over lack of adequate response of Jubilee Hills inspector Harish Chandra Reddy did not follow up on a phone call from Raidurgam inspector Ram Babu alerting him to something being amiss in Jayaram’s house.
