Harish Rao wanted to conduct a special job mela

Following directions from Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao, the district administration is gearing up to conduct an exclusive job mela to find placements for the unemployed youth from the villages which are to be displaced by the five reservoirs under construction in Siddipet district.


The officials will also organise a skill enhancement programme for the youth to improve their employment potential. Since several families were displaced Mallanna Sagar, Kondapochamma Sagar, Gouravelly Project, and Anthagiri Sagar in Siddipet district, Harish Rao wanted to conduct a special job mela to provide employment to children of displaced families.During a review meeting chaired by the Minister at the District Collectorate that was attended among others by Collector P Venkatrami Reddy, Dubbak MLA Solipet Ramalinga Reddy and others here on Saturday, Harish Rao said “the job mela is part of the government plan to provide best possible employment to all qualified youth.”


The Collector will hold another meeting on Monday to plan details of the job mela and related activities.
