TRS Party Got Rs 20 Crore On A Single Day

The ruling party of Telangana state,Telangana Rastra Samithi (TRS) conducted plenary meeting on 27th April,on the eve of TRS 17th formation day.The party got Rs 20 crore donations from the party leaders on that single day,MPs, MLAs and party leaders extended financial support through donations to the party.

Khammam MP P Srinivasa Reddy alone contributed Rs 2 crore donation to the party followed by Malkajigiri MP Malla Reddy and MLCs Bhanu Prasad and MD Slaim gave Rs one crore each. TRS MP AP Jitender Reddy's relatives - Ravinder and Nithin announced Rs two crore donation to the party. Telangana state Advisor G Vivek and his wife Saroja also gave 1 crore each to the party.  The other MPs BB Patil (Zaheerabad) and Gutta Sukhender Reddy (Nalgonda) contributed Rs 50 lakh each to the party.

With the heavy donations from the party leaders, TRS Chief K Chandrasekhar Rao said that the total party fund will increase to Rs 42 crore from the present Rs 21.60 crore reserves in its bank account. So far, the party spent Rs 20 crore for insurance scheme extended to all party workers in the state. KCR said the party will launch a drive to mobilize more donations to meet financial requirements to conduct the public meeting in October last week or November first week.
